Amount Raised for American Liver Foundation
Amount Raised for Stand Up To Cancer
I received a liver transplant in 2015 after a combination of autoimmune hepatitis and PSC caused significant cirrhosis (scarring) to my liver. I slowly began working out and running again a little over a year after my transplant. Half a mile jog turned into a 5k, and soon I found myself signing up for a half marathon. I ran the NYC Marathon in November 2018, which was my first marathon, for the American Liver Foundation. In 2019, I ran my second marathon, the Chicago Marathon, again for the American Liver Foundation. In 2020, I am again running Chicago for the American Liver Foundation. As I continue to run, I have decided to share my story with others via this blog. I hope you enjoy!
